Their 2022 funding competition will feature two six-week funding windows – the first is now open and closing on the 29th April, and the second is scheduled for October.

Seven technology focus areas have been identified for this funding window. These are:

  • Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS)
  • Hydrogen and clean fuels
  • Renewables and energy storage
  • Zero emissions power
  • Venting and flaring
  • Integrity management – well integrity
  • Late life and decommissioning
  • Integrity management – CUI

Applicants can be an organisation of any size and either work alone with others from business, research organisations, research and technology organisations or subcontractors.

Contracts will be awarded only to a single legal entity. However, you can employ specialist consultants, advisers or partnering organisations as subcontractors.

The Net Zero Technology Centre are looking for proposals that involve all the necessary stakeholders relevant to the proposed innovation, including end users of the solution.

You can use a previously submitted application to apply for this competition. The Net Zero Technology Centre will not award you funding if you have: failed to complete a previously funded project or failed to comply with grant terms and conditions.
