Managing Director

A selection of TBAT’s team members have completed their 300-mile Iron to Iron cycling challenge to fundraise for The Brittle Bone Society.

Richard Hine, Dave Schorah, and Ryan Mouncy began their route on the morning of 1st October 2022, at the Meldon Viaduct in Okehampton, Devon for a 3-day cycle back to Derbyshire.

Day 1 was a gruelling 115-mile ride from Okehampton to the centre of Bristol, through the Mendip Hills. Day 2 was an additional 114 miles, through Wye Valley and the Shropshire Hills to Telford. On day 3, fellow team member Samuel Woodward joined them for the final leg of 71 miles, to the finish line at Bennerley Viaduct in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

The cycling teams efforts were celebrated as the wider TBAT team cheered them over the finish line!

Through their fundraising, the team have exceeded their £2000 target, and have raised £3398 – including Gift Aid – for The Brittle Bone Society, which is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare condition also known as brittle bone disease.

TBAT would like to thank all of the generous donors, including the wider TBAT team, their network of clients and partners, and the personal connections of the cyclists for supporting Richard, Dave, Ryan, and Samuel, and the charity.

Patricia Osborne, CEO of Brittle Bone Society, offered thanks to Richard, Ryan, Dave, and Samuel in the TBAT team for completing the gruelling Iron to Iron Cycling Challenge for the Charity. It means so much to everyone at the BBS that they chose us. This is a large donation and one we truly appreciate – we congratulate them on their fundraising efforts and all the fantastic support they managed to raise! This kind donation will help us in our journey to offer support for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta community. Well done guys.

Ryan Mouncy, Managing Director at TBAT Innovation Ltd says, “This challenge really pushed our limits, I am extremely proud of the riders and the support team. Our collective determination resulted in us exceeding our fundraising target and raised greater awareness of the fantastic work The Brittle Bone Society do to support individuals and family’s affected.”
