The Innovation Challenge – Winners Announced at Finalist Showcase

The Innovation Challenge Winners were announced on 29th June 2022, at the pinnacle of the challenge – The Finalist Showcase event.

The Innovation Challenge

TBAT Innovation Ltd launched The Innovation Challenge in January 2022, bringing together key partners to support SMEs to innovate!

The Innovation Challenge was designed by TBAT’s expert team to stimulate and support innovation in SMEs by leveraging the expertise of their unique partner network.

After the partners came together to deliver 4 informative workshops on; Finance; People & Recruitment; Product Design & Protection; and Business Strategy & Marketing; all attendees were invited to submit full applications to be considered for the Finalist Showcase.

The Finalist Showcase

The Finalist Showcase, hosted on 29th June 2022, brought together the Top 10 applicants, the challenge partners and key industry representatives, for the top 10 to pitch their projects for a chance to win the prize package.

The Top 10 applicants were:

  • Apollon Grid
  • E-Nano
  • Freeaim
  • Noodle Fuel
  • PhenUtest Diagnostics
  • Property Price Hub
  • R6EV
  • Scrubbee
  • UJJI
  • WingTek

Following their pitches, the judging panel had the tough job of choosing the overall winner and two runner’s up.

The Winner

PhenUtest Diagnostics was chosen by the judges as the 2022 Winner of The Innovation Challenge.

PhenUtest Diagnostics are developing an ‘at the point of care’, UTI testing system to enable care providers to prescribe the correct antibiotics without the need of off-site lab testing.

They win £5000 cash prize, along with support from select partners to benefit their business journey.

The Runners Up

The Innovation Challenge 2022 Runners up were:

E-Nano – A robotics & AI solution for improving athletes performance and wellbeing by providing a solution for soil & playing pitch management.

Scrubbee – Sustainable skin care, focused on creating value from waste by repurposing bi-products from the beverage supply chain.

The two Runners up also receive carefully selected partner support, to continue their great work and progress.
