Having spent much of my childhood surrounded by my two engineer grandfathers, I had a natural inclination towards science and how things work. This was further explored and developed through my studies taking me to Manchester University to study material science where I specialised in functional and nanomaterials, although I still appreciated and took great interest in the other areas of study that were not directly in my specialism.
From leaving University into the world at not the most opportune timing with Covid, I have found that I enjoy working with R&D companies that have a wide variety of interesting scientific projects.
In my free time, I follow many sports such as cricket and football and continue to play local-level rugby as well as having a keen hobby in videogames and history for when the weather is not the best!
