Chris Stuttle

As a kid, I was always wanting to learn about the latest technologies and how they worked – I loved staying up and watching ‘Tomorrows World’. I enjoy the creativity which comes with understanding technically and mathematically challenging subjects. It was from this fascination in challenging subjects and my innate creativity which led me to study Physics at University followed by Materials Engineering and Materials R&D in industry.

I loved working in industry, developing new materials and building prototypes to fit a customer’s needs. During this time, I was able to develop skills in Surface Engineering and Electrochemistry. I may be a bit of a nerd, but I love functional chemistry – colourful liquids which do remarkable things.

I was lucky enough to discover there is a career that allowed me to embrace my technical curiosity in a wide range of fields. Working at TBAT I’m able, on a daily basis, to learn about new areas of development and see the creativity coming from UK companies. Moreover, I feel pride in helping those companies reduce their R&D costs and produce ever amazing products.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing music, community work, and the odd spot of playing board games.
