TBAT Innovation has been named the winner of the Innovation in Service Delivery Award at the prestigious Medilink Midlands Business Awards 2025, held at the Grand Station in Wolverhampton.
The awards ceremony brought together leading figures from across the healthtech and life sciences sectors to honour exceptional achievements in innovation, collaboration, and patient-focused service delivery.
The award, sponsored by Datalink Electronics, recognises TBAT Innovation’s impactful Innovation Challenge – a flagship initiative supporting innovation-driven UK SMEs. Now in its fourth year, the programme offers a comprehensive platform of expert-led business workshops and a competitive prize fund designed to accelerate the growth of early-stage companies. With backing from an expanding network of industry sponsors and partners, the Challenge has seen remarkable growth, both in participation and influence.
“We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition,” said Sam Stephens, Director at TBAT Innovation. “The Innovation Challenge was born out of a desire to empower and help UK SMEs, and to see how it has developed thanks to the incredible support from our partners is truly rewarding. This award reflects the collaborative spirit behind the programme and the growing community committed to driving UK innovation forward.”
The Medilink Midlands Business Awards, organised annually by Medilink Midlands, shine a spotlight on organisations making a tangible impact in the life sciences and medtech space. Professor Martin Levermore MBE DL, Chair of Medilink Midlands, praised this year’s finalists and winners, stating:
“These awards celebrate not only individual achievement, but also the strength and collaborative spirit of our region. Every finalist represents a story of determination, creativity, and impact – pushing boundaries in research, digital health, advanced manufacturing, and patient-centred care. I’m immensely proud of what we’re achieving together across the Midlands.”

We’re proud to share that TBAT Innovation has successfully completed an extraordinary coast-to-coast cycling challenge across the Scottish Highlands. The ride was undertaken to raise awareness and vital funds for Stand Against MND, a charity founded by our late colleague, Sam Perkins.
