SBRI Decarbonising Concrete 

Organisations can apply for a share of £3 million, inclusive of VAT, in developing solutions to accelerate decarbonising concrete.

The aim of this research, development and demonstration competition is to make the commercial adoption of lower carbon concrete happen faster. The results will enable engagement between innovation projects and end users.

Your project must demonstrate how innovations will decarbonise concrete production and do one or both of the following:

  • address technical uncertainties in the formulation and use of innovative concrete, this can include production and the supply chain
  • address technical uncertainties in innovations within the production, supply chain and use of commercially available concretes

APC25: Industrialising net zero automotive technology

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £25 million for late-stage R&D projects that help accelerate the UK towards a net zero automotive future.

The aim of this competition is for collaborative R&D projects that design, develop and manufacture technology. These proposals will work towards delivering net-zero on-vehicle technologies for on-road or off-road vehicles, including 2 wheelers.

Farming Innovation Programme: Large R&D partnerships Round 3

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £7.8 million for large R&D partnership projects, from the industry-led R&D Partnerships Fund, a part of the Farming Innovation Programme.

The aim of this competition is to fund industrial research and experimental development projects that will address major on-farm or immediate post farmgate challenges or opportunities.

Your solutions or project outputs must significantly improve:

  • productivity
  • sustainability and environmental impact of farming
  • progression towards net zero emissions
  • ​resilience

Award: Share of £7.8 million
Applications open: 15th January 2024
Deadline: 13th March 2024

Environmental Monitoring Innovation

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £5 million for collaborative projects to develop innovative solutions in environmental monitoring. This funding is from Innovate UK and The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).

This competition is limited to terrestrial geographies, including near shore regions in transitional and some coastal waters, such as estuaries and salt marshes, provided they can be accessed from land.
