I studied Animal Science BSc (Hons) at the University of Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington Campus, where I developed a strong foundation in animal health, welfare and biosciences.
After graduating, I gained my first experience in R&D and innovation during an internship with a start‑up developing smart livestock ear‑tag technology. I later joined CIEL (now the UK Agritech Centre). Starting as an intern and progressing into a project support role, I became increasingly aware of the significant funding opportunities available to support cutting‑edge ideas. This exposure allowed me to work on a wide range of grant‑funded and commercial projects, deepening my understanding of the innovation landscape across the UK.
Now, as part of the Grants Team at TBAT, I enjoy getting hands‑on with bid applications and supporting clients throughout their R&D journeys. I still have a passion for agritech but enjoy the range of sectors and clients that I get to support in this role.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me walking my dog, at the gym, or spending time in the garden.
