Overview
The Energy Entrepreneurs Fund is a competitive funding scheme seeking the best ideas across energy technology areas from the public and private sector.

Scope
The EEF is open to applications for innovative technology development and demonstration projects in the areas of energy efficiency, power generation, heat and electricity storage.

Eligibility
To be eligible for funding, projects must:
Funding Costs
Projects can be up to 36 months in duration.
Up to £1m of the £10m available grant funding will be ring fenced for smaller projects with a total value up to £250,000. The remaining funding will be used to fund projects with a total value greater than £250,000.
If you are a small start-up and have been in existence for less than 5 years, the maximum amount of funding you receive shall not exceed £725,000; you will need to demonstrate at least 10% cash match.
For single companies applying, your size will alter the maximum amount of funding you will receive towards your eligible costs.
