Naomi Avanthika

I’ve always been interested in science and understanding how things work, which led me to study Medical Biochemistry at the University of Leicester before completing a Master’s degree in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics at the University of Nottingham. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong interest in research, data analysis and innovation, and I enjoyed learning how scientific discoveries can be translated into real-world solutions.

At TBAT Innovation, I have the opportunity to combine my scientific background with my passion for innovation. As a Junior R&D Consultant, I work with a wide range of businesses to understand their projects, identify qualifying R&D activities and support them through the R&D tax relief process. One of the things I enjoy most about my role is learning about the different technologies, products and processes our clients are developing and seeing first-hand how innovation is helping businesses grow.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with friends and family, cooking something new in the kitchen or planning my next trip away. I’m also a proud dog owner and love taking my dog, Leo, on adventures, although he definitely thinks he’s in charge most of the time.
