CHAIR and Patent Box
After establishing TBAT in 2002 as a consultancy catering to the SME sector, Sam led the company’s evolution into the innovation-centric enterprise it is today. TBAT now specialises in supporting companies throughout the entire new product and process innovation cycle. Sam began his career as a graduate and manufacturing engineer at Rolls-Royce Aerospace before transitioning to Rolls Royce and Associates as a Development and Project Engineer. Currently, Sam heads up the Business Development and R&D Tax Credits side of the business.

Andy is the lead industrial designer at OPD and has over 17 years of experience designing products across a range of industries including consumer, medical, scientific and industrial.
A proponent of user-centred design, Andy has won multiple awards for his work and has designed product ranges for a number of international brands. He has developed brand languages for companies such as Leitz, Rexel and Fellowes in the office & consumer products industry. Andy uses a mix of traditional techniques including hand sketching and manual rendering alongside the latest technology in the design process.

Srijan finished his PhD at the University of Manchester where he came up with the idea of rapid UTI diagnostics. He continued working on the idea at the University of Liverpool, from where he spun out “Phenutest Diagnostics Ltd” (Now InnovtiveDx) and is working towards commercialising a revolutionary UTI diagnostic kit as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Amongst many other recognitions, Srijan has recently been awarded as one of India’s top 75 achievers at the Palace of Westminster.

Henry is a trained Materials Scientist and Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining with almost 20 years’ experience in the nuclear and medical materials field. He has worked on Class II and III medical device regulatory approvals in the UK, Europe, USA and India this included work with implantable orthopaedic devices.

Greg is primarily involved in drafting and filing patent and design applications at the UK and European Patent Offices, as well as utilising his global network to assist clients in obtaining protection overseas. He has considerable experience in completing freedom to operate work for clients, ensuring they do not infringe competitors’ IP rights. He also has substantial experience with European oppositions, working to assist his clients in revoking their competitors’ European patents.
