Orderly retained TBAT Innovation Ltd to secure an Innovate UK SMART Grant, following their successful partnership supporting Orderly’s R&D Tax Credits claims.
For over a decade Orderly have provided business-critical supply chain technology to a range of enterprises.
Orderly’s solutions influence responsibility in enterprise supply chains – generating long-term sustainability and economic value by making forecasting, order, and inventory management easy.
Orderly’s mission statement is “We are more than just a food and beverage technology company. We are a powerful advocate for social and environmental responsibility.”
In June 2021, Orderly approached TBAT to discuss funding opportunities for a collaborative product development and real-world implementation study they were planning to undertake.
Following discussions about their project, TBAT advised that the Innovate UK SMART Grants would be most suitable for their application, and in February 2022, the application writing process began, for submission in April 2022.
Orderly aims to further develop their artificial-intelligence-powered decision support platform for quick-service restaurants, to tackle the ambitious sustainability goals of zero waste and reducing food waste using AI-driven data solutions in real-time.
TBAT’s Grant Writing team worked closely with Orderly and their partner to understand the aims of their project and what they plan to achieve with their development. TBAT’s team worked alongside Orderly to help scope a comprehensive work plan to meet project objectives and gather all of the supporting information needed for their application. TBAT took the lead on the writing process on their behalf, with regular meetings to discuss key points of information, culminating in sharing a draft alongside draft appendices, which was refined with client inputs to become the submitted application.
In June 2022, Orderly were notified by Innovate UK that their application into the January 2022 Innovate UK SMART Grants competition had been successful and they would receive the grant they applied for.
Orderly begin their 12-month project in September 2022. TBAT will continue to assist Orderly in their Grant Claims Management for the duration of the project, while also continuing to claim R&D Tax Credits with TBAT’s assistance.
"Working with TBAT on the grant was a pleasure from start to finish – I was particularly pleased with their knowledge of the software development sector, even assisting us to refine some of the ideas to add to our application. When I saw the quality of their final documentation I knew we were in for a good result!"
